Want to Be the Face of SCC? (There are snacks involved.)

SCC has a program where you hang out with the marketing team, help make social media content, show up at campus events, and get a $250 scholarship each semester for doing it.

That's right. Money. For being a student who likes their school.

It's called the Blackhawk Ambassador program, and it's probably the best-kept secret on campus. Let's fix that.

The Short Version

Here's what being an Ambassador actually looks like:

• Meet weekly with SCC's marketing team

• Help brainstorm and create content for social media

• Share your own SCC experience on your personal pages

• Jump into photo and video shoots

• Represent SCC at campus events

• Get early access to whatever the marketing office is cooking up next

Also: there are snacks at the weekly meetings. This is not the main selling point. Although, it is absolutely worth mentioning.

The Longer Version (AKA the Good Stuff)

Beyond the weekly gig, Ambassadors walk away with:

• $250 scholarship every semester

• Exclusive merch (the kind other students will ask about)

• VIP access to the marketing office

• Features in campus publications

• Letters of recommendation from the people who actually saw you work

• Team-building events with your fellow Ambassadors each semester

And here's the part that doesn't fit in a bullet point: the experience itself matters. Content creation. Brand representation. Working inside a real, professional marketing team. That's the kind of thing that fills out a portfolio and makes a resume pop. Future-you is going to thank present-you.

Who's Eligible?

Short answer: probably you.

Any SCC student. Any age, any program, any campus. You just need to be:

• Enrolled in a degree or certificate program

• Attending class on campus

• Holding at least a 2.0 GPA

You don't need a marketing background. You don't need a huge social media following. You don't need a curated aesthetic. You just need to care about SCC and be willing to share that with the people around you.
